Business Happenings: New Company Coming to Ridge, New Apartments Have Tenants, New Manicure Joint, Woodman Lodge Brings Lunch Back

There’s been some new business happenings around the Valley these past few months, including one newly constructed building soon to be home to another water sports company; a new apartment development finally got tenants; the Woodman Lodge made some menu and hours of operation changes; and an old nail salon became a new nail salon right on Railroad Ave.

Square One Headquarters Takes Shape in Business Park

Square One will be the second water sports company located in the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park. Motion Water Sports completed their new Snoqualmie headquarters early in 2013.

Square One Distribution designs, manufactures and distributes Radar brand waterskis and the Ronix line of wakeboards. They have been in business since 2006 and are currently located in Issaquah.

Construction on the new warehouse and office space at the corner of Snoqualmie Parkway and Center Blvd began earlier this summer.  By summer’s end, walls on the large building were up. The new headquarters will occupy two commercial building lots on Center Blvd.

New Rental Townhome Community Get First Tenants

Snoqualmie’s newest, market-rate 100-unit townhome community at the corner of Snoqualmie Parkway and Swenson Drive, The Woodlands, now has its first tenants. The first section of completed apartments was finished in September.

Work still continues on the majority of units, with most of the exteriors painted. Construction continues on the site most days. According to the development sign, the apartment homes start at close to $2,000 per month.

The Woodlands offers 2 and 3 bedroom townhomes with one-car garages, as well as some one-level apartments, all featuring high ceilings, stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. Apartment sizes range from about 1,200 – 1,500 square feet.

Old Nail Salon Becomes New Nail Salon

Inside the former location of Andrea Nails sits the new Envy Nails on Railroad Ave in downtown Snoqualmie.  The new salon opened about three months envynailsago. The space has been freshly painted and new pedicure chairs and manicure stations were added.

I gave them a test run, and the shellac manicure turned out perfectly.

The new owners are nice and seem excited to be part of the Snoqualmie business community. Envy Nails is the fourth nail salon located in Snoqualmie.

Woodman Lodge Changes Hours, Open for Lunch Again

The Woodman Lodge, 38601 SE King Street in downtown Snoqualmie, revamped its hours and changed the menu up as summer ended.

After being open for brunch on the weekends (and eliminating weekday Screen Shot 2014-10-01 at 5.05.48 PMlunch service) over a year ago, brunch is no longer – being replaced by just lunch, including lunch on a weekday again. And management says all the old lunch favorites have returned to the menu.

The Woodman Lodge is now open at 11:30AM, Friday thru Sunday. Tuesday – Thursday they open at 4PM, serving just dinner.

At first, the popular restaurant was going to be closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but after a lot of customer feedback, the restaurant decided to stay open on Tuesdays and leave its all you can eat rib night (held on Tuesdays) intact.
