Business Going: Snoqualmie Restaurant Closing End of August

Vicki Deshaies, owner of Bayan Mongolian BBQ on Snoqualmie Ridge, announced on August 12, 2014, that she and her son Mark will be closing the restaurant at the end of August.

In a social media post revealing the bittersweet news, Vicki stated, “With feelings of great accomplishment and personal growth, we are ready to give up the battle and close Bayan Mongolian BBQ. There are no regrets, but we are sad that it didn’t take hold in Snoqualmie.”  Even so, Vicki said they enjoyed serving the Snoqualmie community for the past two years.

Vicki and Mark opened Bayan Mongolian BBQ in June 2012 in retail space adjacent Gateway Gas and Deli at the corner of Snoqualmie Parkway and Douglas Ave.  According to Vicki, she and Mark started the restaurant from the ground up and learned “more about business, cooking, serving the public and community” than they ever expected.

Bayan Remains Open Regular Hours Until August 31st

The Snoqualmie Valley community still has over two weeks to enjoy Bayan’s food and stop by to chat with their favorite employees. The restaurant will continue its regular hours – lunch and dinner on weekdays from 11AM – 8PM and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends from 9AM – 8PM – until August 31st.

There is no word at this time if/when another business will occupy the Bayan Mongolian BBQ retail space.
