Bring on the Holiday Season! North Bend, Snoqualmie Kick off Holidays with Tree Lighting Event, Holiday Festival this Saturday

Snoqualmie Holiday Tree Lighting, Open House, Carriage Rides

The City of Snoqualmie will hold its annual Holiday Tree Lighting Event.  The festivities kick off Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 5:30PM with horse-drawn snoqualmieholidaycarriage rides in two downtown locations: at Railroad Park on SE King Street by the gazebo and at the corner of Falls Ave and River Street by Carmichael’s True Value.

Then Santa will  light up the tree at 6:30PM in the Railroad Park Gazebo. Kids can visit with Santa, warm up with hot cocoa, apple cider, cookies and enjoy the sounds of the Sno Valley Winds as they play traditional holiday music.

The Downtown Snoqualmie Merchants will also be hosting a Holiday Open House during this year’s event, too.  The Open House runs from 4PM – 8PM. Visit downtown stores and restaurants for complimentary treats, live music, kid activities and coupon specials for holiday shopping.

North Bend Holiday Festival

North Bend will also kick off the Holiday Season on Saturday, December 6th, at its annual North Bend Holiday Festival from 4PM – 8PM. North Bend Way through downtown will shut down and the street transformed into holiday scene.

The community is invited to bring the entire family out for a fun-filled evening of music, entertainment, fire pits, food and drink, children’s activities, photos with Santa, a holiday tree-lighting ceremony and a traditional community sing-along in downtown North Bend.

To accommodate the event the following streets will be closed from approximately 2PM – 9PM on Saturday, December 6th:

• North Bend Way between Bendigo Boulevard and Ballarat Avenue
• Main Avenue South between North Bend Way and McClellan Street
• Main Avenue North between North Bend Way and Second Street

Winter Wonderland, Pictures with Frozen’s Elsa

Remax Realty on Main Ave in North Bend will also be holding a Winter Wonderland event at their downtown office during the North Bend Holiday Festival, elsa:ana remaxfrom 4PM-8PM.

Kids can get their picture taken with Frozen’s Elsa and complete a craft project. Olaf will also be making an appearance!

There is a suggested donation of $5 and all proceeds will benefit the One VOICE Holiday event to help Snoqualmie Valley families in need during the holiday season.

One VOICE brings together more than 40 non-Profit, businesses, community, service, religious organizations and private donors to serve those in need in the Snoqualmie Valley.
