Boots vs. Badges: Local police officers, firefighters ready for ‘Brew Off’ at Trail Youth Coffee House

There’s fun competition – or more precisely, a Brew Off – on tap at Trail Youth Coffee House starting next week: Boots vs. Badges, where local firefighters and police officers get the chance to be baristas for an afternoon and see who can sell more coffee.

On March 12th from 1PM – 5PM Snoqualmie/North Bend Police Officers will grab an apron and test their barista skills, whipping up lattes and americanos for the community. A week later on March 19th from 1PM to 5PM you’ll find local firefighters behind the counter, seeing if they can surpass SPD sales. The winner will be decided by total sales on each day.

Trail Youth Program Director Tonya Guinn said, “While youth are our biggest effort, we love to support our community in any way possible. We love to connect with all the people of North Bend and its surrounding communities.”

Trail Youth Coffee House is a unique space – open to the public in the morning and in the afternoon it opens to youth, providing programming and mentorship – along with free coffee drinks. All coffee sold during public hours support youth programming provided by the nonprofit organization.

Trail Youth Coffee House is located at 226 North Bend Way, right next to Scott’s Dairy Freeze in downtown North Bend.
