Another ‘NO Boredom’ Weekend: Televised Friday Night Lights, Big Block Party, Outdoor Movie, Snoqualmie Ridge Garage Sale

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you shouldn’t need to look outside the Snoqualmie Valley.  There’s lots of fun on tap in Snoqualmie this Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th.

Snoqualmie Ridge Community-wide Garage Sale

Friday morning at 9AM, the annual, fall community-wide Snoqualmie Ridge Garage Sale kicks off and runs through Saturday garagesaleafternoon at 4PM. Participating homes will have red balloons and signs.  Hours are 9AM – 4PM each day.

The annual garage sale is advertised in multiple Eastside newspapers and usually draws hundreds of visitors to Snoqualmie Ridge. Residents should expect extra traffic on already tight neighborhood streets.

Mount Si Football Takes on Skyline, Televised on Root Sports

The 2-0 Mount Si Wildcat football team takes on the Skyline Spartans at home, Friday, September 19th, at 7PM. TV crews will be mshshelmeton hand filming the game, which is scheduled to be televised on Root Sports Friday night at 8:30PM, following the Mariners game. The game is a televised event on a tape delay and will not be streamed online.

Snoqualmie residents should expect extra traffic on downtown streets and near Mount Si High School.  This is Mount Si’s first season in the KingCo 4A Conference and first matchup against Issaquah’s Skyline High School.

2nd Annual Snoqualmie Valley Block Party

North Bend hosted its party in July. Now it’s Snoqualmie’s turn.

Saturday, September 20th also features the 2nd Annual Snoqualmie Valley Block Party, from 10AM – 5PM, on Center Blvd in heart of the Snoqualmie Ridge Retail Marketplace.

Lots of Snoqualmie Valley businesses will be participating in the community event that closes local streets so residents can gather and have fun.  There’s a live music stage with great local bands, food, a beer garden, bouncy houses and other kid activities.

This year there is also a 5-Mile Trail Run thoughout the woods surrounding Snoqualmie Ridge.  For more information on vendors and a schedule of Block Party activities visit the Snoqulamie Valley Block Party Facebook page.

Center Blvd will be closed between Snoqualmie Parkway and SE Ridge Street most of Saturday, September 20th.

Outdoor Movie in the Park, Despicable Me

If the Garage Sale and Block Party weren’t enough for you, Saturday’s festivities are capped off by another Outdoor Movie in the Park, sponsored by the City of Snoqualmie Parks and Rec Department.  This time Despicable Me is the featured movie, starting at 7:30PM.

The huge 40 foot outdoor movie screen will make a return visit to Snoqualmie Community Park, 35016 SE Ridge Street. The first outdoor movie event in August, featuring Frozen, was a big success, drawing over one thousand residents to the park – and “Let it Go” was heard echoing through the area.
