Annual Snoqualmie Holiday Lights Contest Deadline Just Days Away

Ready to go a little bit Christmas Vacation and Clark Griswold on your house this holiday season?

It was such a hit in its first year that the City of Snoqualmie Parks & Recreation Department and the Snoqualmie Ridge Residential Owners Association brought it back for a return engagement –  the Snoqualmie Holiday Lighting Contest.

Meant to encourage the entire Snoqualmie community to decorate and beautify homes, businesses, and neighborhoods during the winter holiday season, the contest is open to any Snoqualmie resident, business, neighborhood or community organization located within city limits.

The City of Snoqualmie says entered homes will be evaluated on creativity, originality, thematic elements and overall design quality – not just the quantity of lights.

That chance to channel your inner Clork Griswold and win the contest is dwindling, though. Entries must be received at the Snoqualmie Parks and Recreation Office, 38624 SE River Street (City Hall), by Friday, December 5th at 4PM.

By Monday, December 8th,  homes or businesses entered in the contest must be fully decorated and lit.  Then between December 10th – 12th, from 5PM – 7PM, an impartial panel will judge all contest entries.
