80th Annual Snoqualmie Railroad Days, 20th Firefighter Pancake Breakfast on tap this weekend

After a weekend of festival fun in North Bend last weekend, it’s now Snoqualmie’s turn to get into the action. You guessed it. It’s time for Railroad Days, which happens August 16th – 18th.

Originally organized by volunteer firefighters to celebrate the arrival of the town’s first fire truck in 1939, Railroad Days celebrates all things Trains, Timber, and Tradition.

The fun kicks off Friday night, followed by lots of events and activities all weekend long. A Grand Parade, live music and entertainment, commercial and artisan vendors, a Family Field of Fun, TimberSports, Art in the Park and train excursion rides await the community.

And of course, Saturday starts with the 20th annual Firefighter Pancake Breakfast. The firefighter-cooked breakfast, raffle items and silent auction all benefit the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association.

The event, now in its 20th year, includes a breakfast of pancakes and ham along with Krispy Kreme donuts, orange juice, and Starbucks coffee, all served at the fire station. Breakfast is $8 for adults, $6 for kids (ages 5-12), and free for those under age 5.

The breakfast continues its goal of “Zero Waste Event” in partnership with Waste Management. It’s always packed and is a great chance to meet your local firefighters… and Phoebe the fire dog.
