City Allocates over $100,000 to Local Human Services Providers

city of snoqualmieEach year the City of Snoqualmie allocates 1% of its general fund to community organizations that provide services to benefit children, seniors, individuals and families in need.

In 2016, that equates to $134,000 for community-based organizations that help local residents and families – and there’s a lot of organizations on this year’s recipient list that dedicate a great deal of time and resources to improving local lives.

During September and October of 2015, the City’s Human Services Committee accepted funding request applications from Snoqualmie Valley organizations. Committee members then made allocation recommendations for the City Council’s consideration.

The City of Snoqualmie said the funds will provide aid for food, shelter, clothing, counseling, and safety throughout the Snoqualmie Valley community.
