2017 Educators of the Year announced by Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017 the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation announced its 2017 Educators of the Year recipients. They were surprised at their schools with flowers and balloons. Each educator was nominated by a community member over the past two months.

Congratulations to the SVSF 2017 Educators of the Year: 

  • Katelyn Walker – Mount Si High School, Special Education
  • Emily Rourke – Twin Falls Middle School, 8th grade language arts
  • Brenna Vukovich – 1-to-1 ParaEducator at Mount Si High School
  • Emily Larson – Cascade View Elementary School, 5th grade 

These four educators will be honored at the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation’s annual Small Hands to Big Plans Luncheon on March 23rd. The luncheon is the biggest fundraiser each year for the foundation. The proceeds are used to for education grants in the Snoqualmie Valley School District.
