SWINGIN’ FOR SHELTER: Learn to swing dance, help homeless in the Snoqualmie Valley

Feel like doing a little dancing this weekend? Well, here’s your chance.

The whole community is invited! The Mount Si Band Program is holding its 2nd annual “Swingin’ for Shelter” swing dance event benefitting the Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services (formerly Valley Renewal Center).

The event is organized and presented by our student Band & Orchestra Leadership Team (BOLT) to raise funds for the Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services, which helps those who are experiencing homelessness right here in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Don’t worry. No dance experience is required. The event will start with swing dance lessons, followed by dancing, food, and music provided by the award-winning Mount Si High School Jazz Bands.

So whether you bring your dancing shoes or just tap along to the music and enjoy the food, you’re in for a fun evening.

“Swingin’ for Shelter” takes place this Friday, February 9th at Mount Si High School in the Wildcat Court. Doors open at 6PM. There is a $10 minimum donation per person with all proceeds benefiting Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services.
