The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation annual spring luncheon recorded its best results yet, allowing members to present a check for $121,000 to district officials  – up from $86,000 the previous year.

The money donated at the March 23rd fundraiser will help fund education initiatives at all Snoqualmie Valley schools. A district announcement said the generous donations from community members and businesses will be used in the various ways:

  • Elementary School Music Barred Instrument Program (K-5) – $56,000 The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation will fund the purchase of marimbas or Orff xylophones so that all six elementary school have access to these engaging instruments to complement the elementary choir experience. This Foundation Board is very excited to be able to fully fund this new initiative.
  • AVID College and Career Readiness Program (6-12) – $25,000 Foundation funding has helped to establish this effective program for grades 6-12 at CKMS, TFMS and MSHS, over the past two years.
