Snoqualmie Police Alert: Suspicious Behavior in front of Cascade View Elementary

This just out from City of Snoqualmie as a precaution and awareness:

The Snoqualmie Police Department responded to Cascade View Elementary School,  34816 SE Ridge Street on Snoqualmie Ridge, at 11:15AM today, October 24, for a call regarding suspicious behavior.

A 12-year old girl was riding her scooter along the sidewalk on SE Ridge Street and noticed an older red car, possibly a Honda, stopped in the middle of the road.

A man in the car was motioning with his hand for the girl to come to his car. The description of the man is a heavy-set, adult white male in his 30’s with very short hair. He was wearing black-rimmed glasses.

The child dropped her scooter and ran into the school building and reported the incident to staff.

There were no verbal exchanges between the child and the adult male.

Several Snoqualmie Police units were in the area within minutes and began stopping cars that matched the description.

Extra police patrols will continue near elementary schools and preschools throughout Snoqualmie.

The Snoqualmie Police Department is working closely with officials of the Snoqualmie Valley School District for any additional leads and also to provide safety awareness tips for children.
