Shooting at Salish Lodge Leaves Woman Injured

** May 2, 2013 Update:  Snoqualmie Police Captain, Nick Almquist, today said that the woman involved in the shooting will make a full recovery, that her injuries were not life-threatening.**

Police, fire and aid cars were witnessed tearing through downtown Snoqualmie on Railroad Ave around 7:15AM today, April 29, 2013, heading in the vicinity of the quiet, upscale 4-star Salish Lodge and Spa.

Snoqualmie Police Captain Nick Almquist, who was on the scene, reported that at approximately 7AM, an adult female suffered a self-inflicted handgun shot wound to the chest. Further police investigation revealed that the woman has been recently “troubled by family circumstances. ”

No one else was hurt during the incident, which occurred inside a car in the Salish parking lot.  The woman, who had been staying at the hotel, was still conscious when she transported from the scene by ambulance to an area hospital.
