Police Blotter | No License, Had Been Drinking? No I won’t Jump your Car; Bears, Bears and More Bears; Gun Shot on the Lake

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  CASCADE COVENANT CHURCH, North Bend

On May 10th, shortly before midnight, a caller reported that the lights were on and strange noises were coming from the church’s shed – and had been occurring for about 20 minutes.  Police responded but could not locate anyone and reported everything was normal at the location.


WEAPONS OFFENSE | BORST LAKE/MILLPOND RD, Snoqualmie

On May 9th shortly before 9PM, a caller reported a gun shot at Borst Lake. The three subjects, one with a rifle, were last seen heading toward the entrance to the lake. Police responded and located the subjects in a boat who were using the air/BB gun on the water.  The officer informed the subjects they needed permission due to the lake being owned by Dirtfish Rally School.


DANGEROUS ANIMAL |  ALLMAN AVE SE & SNOQUALMIE PKWY

On May 10th, around 7AM, police responded to a report of a large bear in the area, which was last seen heading into the woods. By the time the officer arrived, the bear was gone.


DANGEROUS ANIMAL | SALMON BERRY CT SE, Snoqualmie

On May 10th around 11AM, a caller reported a bear was spotted behind their home in the woods.  They did not request police contact, just wanted to report the information.


DANGEROUS ANIMAL | SWENSON DR SE & NORMAN AVE, Snoqualmie

On May 10th around 11:30AM, a bear was reported strolling down the trail on the walking path.  The caller stated the bear then headed into the wooded area.


DUI/PHYSICAL CONTROL  |  I-90 & SNOQUALMIE PKWY

On May 11th around 6:30PM, a Ford Mustang was reported swerving on the freeway and possibly heading onto Snoqualmie Parkway from I-90. Police responded and stopped the vehicle near the Snoqualmie Fire Station.  One female was taken into custody for DUI, but was too intoxicated for the Issaquah Jail so she was transported and booked into King County Jail.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  NORTH BEND LIBRARY

On May 14th around 3PM, library staff requested help removing an intoxicated, sleeping male subject.  The caller reported the man had urinated himself while sitting in a chair and then proceeded to pass out.  Police responded and the subject left without incident.  Library staff did NOT want him trespassed, though.


RECKLESS DRIVING | TPC SNOQUALMIE RIDGE GOLF COURSE

On May 15th around 3PM, vehicles were reported speeding on the access road between the golf course and adjacent neighborhoods.  The caller stated usually vehicles don’t use the access road, but drivers were trying to shortcut due to huge road construction traffic backups on Snoqualmie Parkway.  Police responded and blocked the road with a wood barrier.


ALARM  |  BOALCH AVE NW, North Bend

On May 15th around 9PM, a bird triggered the security system alarm of an office.  Police responded and spotted a sparrow flying around the building.  They notified an employee who responded to deal with the bird.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  NORTH BEND WAY & SE 140TH ST

On May 15th around 9PM, a caller reported a man was trying to flag cars down, possible for a broken down car.  Police responded to the two known subjects who were having car trouble. The subjects requested a jump-start from the officer, but as both had suspended licenses and had been drinking, the officer told them to call for a ride.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT |   MT SI BLVD, North Bend

On May 15th around 9PM, the window of a BMW was shattered in an attempted smash and grab, but the computer bag got stuck on golf clubs inside the vehicle and so the would-be thief was unable to steal the bag.  Nothing ended up being taken and there was no suspect(s).
