Police Blotter | DUI driver thinks he’s in Shoreline; homemade explosive causes multiple injuries; brawl outside the bar

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | NORTH BEND BARTELL’S

On March 29th around 6:30PM a caller reported a male suspect and stolen a bottle of wine, concealing it in his pocket, and then left on foot. An officer responded and detained the man behind the store. The store wanted to prosecute so the subject was cited for theft and also trespassed from the store.

VEHICLE PROWL REPORT | NYE AVE, Snoqualmie          

On March 30th at 7:45AM a caller reported the driver’s side rear window of their vehicle had been smashed, but nothing was taken.

DUI/PHYSICAL CONTROL| RAILROAD AVE & SNOQUALMIE PKWY

On March 31st around 12:30AM a caller reported that a Toyota sedan had driven over the median into the middle of Snoqualmie Parkway, kept driving and then stopped on the side of the roadway in the grass. An officer responded and made contact with the driver near Railroad Ave and Meadowbrook Way. The driver was uncooperative and heavily intoxicated with a strong smell of alcohol and marijuana coming from the car. When the driver was asked where he was, he responded “Shoreline.” The man was charged with felony DUI, reckless driving, no ignition interlock. He was booked into Issaquah Jail.

AGENCY ASSIST | NORTH BEND SHELL STATION     

On March 30th around 7PM officers responded to the report of an injured man at the location. The caller said the man had face and hand injuries – and was possibly missing fingers. Aid was also called to the scene. The man suffered multiple injuries from a homemade explosive firework device. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | NIKE STORE, North Bend Outlet Mall

On March 30th around 9PM, an employee reported a man and woman had stolen four bags worth of products from the store. An officer responded and was told by a shopper that the couple had headed toward Safeway. The officer checked multiple parking lots and I-90 for the car the couple was seen leaving in, but was unable to located them. They had primarily stolen Jordan shoes.

DISTURBANCE | HAMPTON INN, Snoqualmie       

On March 31st at 10:40AM, a caller reported a female in the lobby being vocal over her bill that she had tried to pay with two credit cards that were declined. She was associated with a rented van and employees from that nearby business had also come looking for her since she had not paid for the van. An officer responded and took the woman into custody. She was booked for theft 3 and violating a no contact order from earlier in the week. She was also trespassed from the location for one year.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | SE 146TH ST, North Bend          

On April 1st around 7PM, an officer contacted a subject in a vehicle parked along the roadway who said his ankle was hurting and he had stopped to ice it. The man appeared to have been drinking and took a voluntary breathalyzer test which registered .067. The officer advised the man to continue waiting until he was safe to drive.

ANIMAL PROBLEM | SE 137TH PL, North Bend          

On April 3rd at 12:40PM, a man working on the play area of a new home development was bit by an off-leash dog. He declined aid and wanted the incident to be documented for information only. The dog owner reportedly left without exchanging any info.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | OGLE AVE, North Bend         

On April 4th at 4AM a caller reported a vehicle was stopping in front of their house and driving on the wrong side of the road. An officer responded but was unable to locate the described vehicle. The officer thought the vehicle was most likely a paper delivery person.

ASSAULT IN-PROGRESS | FINAGHTYS IRISH PUB, Snoqualmie         

On April 5th at 12:35AM, a caller reported a fight in progress. The caller said it started between two people but then ‘exploded’ to at least 20 people outside the business. The caller then reported that things had calmed down. Officers advised employees to contact them if the primary aggressor returned and they would provide a notice of trespass.
