Police Blotter | Dog attack; swallowed heroin before arrest; gone fishing gear; squatter gets the boot

August 5th

5:39AM – Malicious Mischief

Snoqualmie Officers and Snoqualmie Fire responded to a report of someone that possibly jumped over the Snoqualmie Falls. The drone was deployed, and all areas searched, nothing located.

9:30AM – Vehicle Prowl

Snoqualmie Officers responded to a vehicle prowl report in the area of the 9000 block of Brinkley Ave SE. The rear side window of the truck was broken out, but nothing was found to be missing. Neighbors in the area have doorbell cameras and officers will continue to investigate.

11:37AM – Malicious Mischief

Snoqualmie Officers were dispatch to Stellar Park for a report that the chain on the gate to the Community Garden had been cut and that plants had been uprooted. No suspect information was available. The officer spoke to the outreach manager and offered suggestions to enhance their security.

3:09PM – Warrant

Snoqualmie Officer driving in the area of the 34000 block of SE Douglas Street observed a vehicle with no front license plate. The officer approached the vehicle and observed an adult female and a baby in the back seat that wasn’t secured properly. The female identified herself and a check revealed that she had an active warrant with no bail out of Renton. She was placed into custody and the officer waited until Renton PD arrived to transport her to jail.

8:00PM – 5AM – Security Checks

Safety checks of businesses and parks were made.

August 6th

1:18PM – Theft in Progress

North Bend Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at a business in the North Bend Outlet Mall. Two subjects were suspected of grabbing high dollar items and leaving the store. The officers were able to spot them on I-90, attempted to stop them but the vehicle refused. Officers followed them into Bellevue, but lost sight of them when they took an exit. The suspect and vehicle information were given to surrounding agencies. A few minutes later Bellevue Police located the vehicle, but it was unoccupied. The suspects information was given to neighboring police departments.

1:37PM – Dog Attack

Snoqualmie Police and Fire responded to the report of a dog attack in the 45000 block of SE 140th St in North Bend. A father said that a pit bull attacked he and his son while outside at their home. Aid arrived and treated the injuries and KC Animal Control will be reviewing the case.

August 8th

8:59PM – Theft in Progress

North Bend Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at a store in the Outlet Mall. A male and female subject took 6-8 pair of expensive tennis shoes and fled in a white Dodge sedan. Officers have video surveillance and will continue to investigate.

11:41PM – No Plates

Officers patrolling the area of Railroad Avenue and Meadowbrook Way observed a vehicle with no license plates or temporary registration in the window. The officer stopped the vehicle and the male subject kept giving a false name and date of birth. The male finally admitted that he had several warrants and a check came back that revealed he had a felony warrant for ID theft and several others for drug possession and theft. The male also stated that he swallowed heroin prior to the officer stopping him. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center for observation and once medically cleared, he was booked into the King County Jail.

August 9th

9:28AM – Stolen Fishing Gear

Officers responded to a home on Ballarat for the report of fishing gear that was taken from the home owners’ boat. Extra patrols will be conducted in the area.

3:38PM – Unwanted Tenant

Snoqualmie Officers were dispatched to a home in the 39000 block of SE Park Street. It was reported that a door to the home was open and that transients were possibly occupying it. Officers arrived and announced themselves, asking for anyone that was inside to present themselves. A female came down from the upstairs who had been occupying the home illegally. She was trespassed and charges were forwarded to the prosecutor.

August 10th

8:56PM – Verbal Dispute in Progress

Officers were dispatched to a verbal dispute in progress in the 400 block of Main Ave S in North Bend. They arrived and found a male and female subject in a verbal argument. Each subject was interviewed, and the male was arrested for suspected domestic violence, he was transported to the SCORE jail. Charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor.

11:23PM – Assault Report

Officers responded to the 7000 block of Center Blvd for an assault that occurred between two males. Officers arrived and found that both subjects had left. They obtained video of the incident and will proceed with investigating the case.

[In addition to the above incidents, officers conducted 105 traffic stops and responded to 179 calls for service.]
