Mount Si Football moves on to State Playoffs, hosts Mt. Vernon November 9th

After a dominating, shutout performance against Rogers High School in a district playoff game last weekend, #4 seeded Mount Si learned it will host another home playoff game – this time against #13 seeded Mt. Vernon High School on Friday, November 9th at 7PM.

The Mount Si Wildcats come into the round of 16 state playoffs with a 9-1 record, following a 42-0 trouncing of Rogers where senior quarterback Cale Millen threw for five touchdowns – four to senior wide receiver Jonny Barrett.

The Mt. Vernon Bulldog are 8-2 and have yet to lose an away game this season. They rolled over Auburn Mountain View on the road last weekend, 47-6, making the state playoffs for the first time since 2007.

A victory in Friday’s elimination game would secure Mount Si a quarter-final home playoff game, either November 16th or 17th, against the winner of the Puyallup/Eastmount matchup.

Kickoff is is 7PM at Wildcat Stadium. Game theme is a Red, White and Blue-out in honor of Veteran’s Day.

If you can’t make the game but want to keep up on the play-by-play, follow the Mount Si Football Twitter feed.
