Mount Si Cheer Grabs Two State Titles, prepares for Nationals

It was a big weekend for the Mount Si Cheer Team as they headed off to the WIAA State Cheerleading Championships at Battleground High School. Two of the school’s competitive teams – Mount Si Red and Mount Si Game Day – were looking to remain undefeated for the 2018/19 competition season AND grab state titles.

On Friday, February 1st, the MSHS Red Team performed in the 3A/4A Non-Tumbling Super Large division, edging out Eastside Catholic by one point to earn that State Title with a score of 76.75.

On Saturday, February 2nd, the MSHS Game Day squad hit the mats in the 3A/4A Game Day Super Large Coed division, earning a top score of 96.75 – surpassing their nearest competitor by over 20 points. The performance earned them a second state title.

The Mount Si Silver squad also had a great performance in the 3A/4A Medium division, landing in 2nd place and less than one point behind the top finisher, Enumclaw High School.

Mount Si Cheer heads to Florida this weekend for the National High School Cheerleading Championships at Disney World. That competition runs February 8th – 10th.

Congratulations and Good Luck.
