Local High School Students interested in Police Explorers invited to Open House

High School students in the Snoqualmie Valley School District are invited to an open house on Wednesday, October 17th for the Police Explorer Post. It will occur at the Snoqualmie Police Department located at 34825 SE Douglas Street, Snoqualmie from 6 to 8 PM. Youth who live in the school district boundaries attending other schools are also eligible.

Police Explorers provide youth ages 14 to 20 the opportunity to experience the role of law enforcement in our communities. Many police Explorers continue to a career in law enforcement, legal field or government. The Post meets every other Wednesdays and receive training through law enforcement officers who serve as mentors in the program.

Explorers is part of Learning for Life, a program of the Boy Scouts of America. The program is administered locally through Chief Seattle Council which serves youth in King, Kitsap, North Mason, Jefferson and Clallam counties. Explorers is a co-ed program. The City of Snoqualmie sponsors the Police Explorer program.
