Large fire collapses barn in eastern North Bend Wednesday evening

Wednesday evening, March 20, 2019, crews from Eastside Fire & Rescue and Snoqualmie Fire responded to a large, fully-engulfed barn fire 46700 block of SE Edgewick Road in eastern North Bend – about a mile off I-90 exit 34.

The fire, which started around 5PM, required a defensive stance from firefighters and as the rural area does not have fire hydrants, water tender trucks were shuttled in to fight the blaze.

The barn eventually collapsed. Photos show a nearby building sustained some fire damage. Crews also battled nearby brush fires that were ignited.

According to Snoqualmie FD, there were no injuries in the fire and the cause was being investigated by the King County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigation unit.
