Busy evening for first responders: brush fire, multi-vehicle accident in North Bend; Dalmatian rescue on Mailbox Peak

First responders had a busy evening, Wednesday, July, 25, 2018.

Around 5PM, Eastside Fire & Rescue and Snoqualmie firefighters responded to North Bend for a 100 x 100 brush fire. Crews had the fire – located near an entrance to Truck Town – under control and in mop up stage by 6PM.

There is no word yet on what might have sparked the small fire.

Then around 7:30PM Snoqualmie Police officers responded to a multi-vehicle accident at the corner of NE 14th Street and SR 202. SR 202 is 50mph in this stretch, which can make turning out from side streets sometimes difficult.

SPD said the accident involved three cars and caused a lot of damage, but there were no injuries reported.

Then up on Mailbox Peak, King County Search and Rescue and Seattle Mountain Rescue crews responded to help a pooch in distress.

Around 7:30PM teams were helping bring a thirsty, hot and tired Dalmatian off the mountain, saying, “Our volunteers go the extra mile for all in need!”
