Boy Scouts collecting Christmas trees this weekend for big annual fundraiser

A quick reminder for those of you ‘taking down Christmas’ inside your homes this week.

If you need to easily dispose of your tree, local boy scout will be out collecting them this weekend as part of their big annual fundraiser.

Snoqualmie Valley Boy Scout Troops will be collecting Christmas trees on January 6th in Snoqualmie, North Bend, Fall City, and Preston. Trees should be placed curbside no later than 8AM

Reminder: trees with tinsel or decorations, tree nails, and flocked trees will not be accepted.

A suggested donation of $10 can be placed in an envelope and attached to the base of the tree with a rubber band. Scouts went door-to-door dropping envelopes in mid-December, BUT if you can’t find that envelope, any basic one will do.

Checks can be made payable to “BSA Troop 115.” It is requested that you do NOT leave cash.

The Christmas Tree Pick-Up Service is an annual fundraiser for Boy Scout Troops 115, 425, 466 and 701. Money raised during this event is used to help fund weekend campouts, summer camp, and other outdoor scouting events and programs.
